Turning Waste into Wildflowers: WWWR x Natural Shoots
Every year, millions of shotgun cases are used across the UK. Traditionally designed as single-use items, they quickly become someone else’s responsibility to dispose of.
While a proportion of plastic shotgun cases are recycled, the process of separating their component parts is both complex and costly. As a result, many are still incinerated or sent to landfill. Paper shotgun cases, although used less frequently, face an even starker outcome — they are almost always incinerated or landfilled, as the paper itself cannot be reused.
Waste Reimagined, Habitats Recreated
Natural Shoots is changing that story.
By designing and building a national network of collection points, Natural Shoots gathers used paper shotgun cases of any gauge — and increasingly, certain plastic cases too. These are then re-manufactured in the UK into a range of premium, fully traceable native wildflower seed mixes.
The result? Waste reimagined. New habitats created.
